How buildersklub.com handles your data. Last updated 21 October 2026.
1. Who is responsible
The controller for this website is Naviu GmbH (haftungsbeschränkt), Burgherrenstraße 10, 12101 Berlin, Germany, represented by Diogo Guerner. buildersklub is organised by Naviu GmbH and 9x; Naviu GmbH runs this website.
For anything about your data, write to hello@buildersklub.com or use the contact form. Full company details are in the imprint.
2. Hosting and server
The site is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, located in the EU. Hetzner processes this data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).
When you open a page, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, date and time, and browser type. The server needs this to deliver the page. We do not keep access logs. To block spam on the signup box and contact form, the server holds IP addresses in memory for up to one hour, then forgets them. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Fonts and images are served from our own server; opening a page does not contact Google or other third parties.
3. Register for updates (Luma)
If you enter your email in a "Register for updates" box, we add it to the contacts of our event calendar on Luma (Luma AI, Inc., USA), so you get invitations to our meetups, workshops and Berlin AI Day. Luma processes data in the USA; its privacy policy explains the safeguards it uses: https://luma.com/privacy-policy.
Legal basis: your consent by submitting the form (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe from any Luma email at any time, or ask us to remove you.
4. Contact form and email
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic and your message, plus your company if you give it. The form sends this to our team inbox, which runs on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) as our processor. We use the data only to answer you and keep it as long as the conversation needs, or as long as the law requires.
Legal basis: answering your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to messages (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
5. Google Analytics (only with your consent)
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, to see which pages are visited and how people find us. Nothing from Google loads until you click "Accept" in the cookie banner; "Reject" keeps it off. Google Analytics then sets cookies and processes usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. IP addresses are shortened by Google before storage. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; Google Analytics then stops loading. Google deletes the data after the retention period set in our account, at most 14 months. Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Storage in your browser
We remember your choice in the cookie banner in your browser’s local storage, so we do not ask again on every page. This is needed to respect your choice (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). We set no other cookies ourselves.
7. YouTube videos
Videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) are shown as a still image first. The video player only loads, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), when you click play. From that moment Google receives your IP address and may store information on your device. Legal basis: your consent by clicking play (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG).
8. Links to other sites
Event pages, LinkedIn and partner websites are linked, not embedded. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow a link.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17)
- restrict its processing (Art. 18)
- receive it in a portable format (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
- withdraw any consent at any time, without affecting what happened before (Art. 7 (3))
10. Complaints
You can complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
